Speaker 1 00:00:08 Oh, nope. There we go. Hello. Welcome back to Tuesday Night Gaming starting. Rob, Alana, Jay, Zj. Matt and Zach. Speaker 2 00:00:15 Woohoo. Speaker 1 00:00:16 And today we're talking about Star Girl, episode four. And, and or first three episodes, Speaker 2 00:00:26 Guys, when you hear and or do you also see and slash or, Speaker 3 00:00:30 I made that joke. Speaker 2 00:00:31 I took it. Speaker 1 00:00:33 The internet has been making that joke. What's Speaker 4 00:00:34 Your name? What's your people? Is it one and or the other? That's and or, Speaker 2 00:00:41 And or Rebellion. Empire. And or Rebellion. Speaker 4 00:00:45 Are you joining the rebellion and or surging for your sister? Speaker 1 00:00:48 Apparently in this case. He took a break. It's neither <laugh>. Speaker 4 00:00:51 Oh dude, you took my joke. He set of a bitch. It'll Speaker 1 00:00:54 Be as well. Speaker 3 00:00:55 Exactly the same scene isn't solo with the Imperial Officer. Speaker 2 00:01:00 That's Speaker 4 00:01:01 We're explaining the joke. Speaker 2 00:01:04 I get it. Yeah. Doesn't speak. Sure. Matt. Got it. They're just gonna name him like, uh, I think you're Cassian and or Ann Cassa. Speaker 3 00:01:15 It's he from, um, UHS and or Fast. Speaker 2 00:01:22 Ooh. Wow. Speaker 1 00:01:24 That's Speaker 4 00:01:24 A Canari. Can Speaker 2 00:01:28 Canari. Speaker 4 00:01:29 Yeah. So should we start with and or Yeah, Speaker 1 00:01:32 I guess, Speaker 4 00:01:32 See, Speaker 2 00:01:33 I guess Speaker 1 00:01:33 We should do that first and we're just talking about whatever we feel like, right? Speaker 2 00:01:36 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:01:38 Uh, okay. So I guess I'll start with, you know what store was really needed was prostitution. Speaker 2 00:01:43 Oh yeah. Speaker 4 00:01:43 Yeah. Speaker 2 00:01:44 Like is this not for children? Speaker 3 00:01:46 Was this the first, um, time We've seen someone wearing underwear in Star Wars. Speaker 2 00:01:51 No, Speaker 3 00:01:52 I'm Speaker 4 00:01:53 Sure was Speaker 2 00:01:54 Wearing Whoa, whoa. Princess Le was wearing a bra. Speaker 1 00:01:56 No, she wasn't wearing a bra there. Speaker 4 00:01:57 There's no bras in space. There's no Speaker 2 00:01:59 There no underwear. Someone Speaker 3 00:02:01 Actually like, not like someone wearing underwear underneath other clothes. Speaker 2 00:02:06 Yeah. There is no underwear and stuff. Wait, who was wearing underwear? <laugh>, Speaker 3 00:02:09 Um, in the scene after, what's her name and her boyfriend were in bed. What's Speaker 1 00:02:15 Her name? Big. Speaker 2 00:02:15 Oh B. Oh dude, That chick was in Morbius, which I watch. Speaker 1 00:02:21 I saw that Speaker 2 00:02:21 Too. Yeah. Oh man. I was like, whoa. She's like, Speaker 3 00:02:24 That means dead. Know Speaker 2 00:02:25 Where to go, but up. Hey, it's Mor time <laugh>. Speaker 4 00:02:30 I, well, I, I have a, Here's my high take. You guys ready? Speaker 2 00:02:34 What? Speaker 4 00:02:35 Well, there's two things I wanted to say, but the first thing is, uh, remember in Rogue One when Cast again says to hes planes to Jim Al, that he's been in this fight since he was six years old. Mm. I guess he took some time off. Speaker 2 00:02:49 <laugh> Speaker 4 00:02:50 People take out debts. Speaker 2 00:02:54 Well, okay, hold on. And Speaker 1 00:02:56 Bang checks. Speaker 2 00:02:57 Clearly they're going to explain that because he is clearly mad about the empire for killing his, his canary friend. Speaker 1 00:03:05 Mm-hmm. Speaker 4 00:03:06 <affirmative>, have you switched weapons? Speaker 2 00:03:08 I dunno. Also, are we ever gonna have different weapons? Rocket launcher? Speaker 4 00:03:11 Well, we've always been this big exploding Speaker 1 00:03:15 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:03:16 Game type. Speaker 2 00:03:17 Okay. Speaker 4 00:03:19 Anyway, hope they explain it. But I don't think they will. Speaker 2 00:03:22 They will. How old Speaker 5 00:03:23 Is he that flashback? Speaker 3 00:03:24 Eight. I assume he was embellishing. I mean, he was making a point in the other one. Speaker 1 00:03:28 Maybe Speaker 4 00:03:29 His point is he was a liar. That his point, I Speaker 1 00:03:32 Thought he was like in the struggle for freedom doesn't have to be against the empire. And it wasn't <laugh>. Right. Cause those guys were republic. Speaker 4 00:03:45 Exactly. It doesn't make sense. Speaker 1 00:03:46 The Speaker 5 00:03:47 Flashbacks aren't over. So I mean, like, there's still time to explain it. Speaker 2 00:03:50 So they said No, you're no, you're right. I was like, on imdb it said, that kid was only in the three episodes, but then I was like, IMDB doesn't know everything, so nevermind. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:03:59 IMD is like people filling it in, Speaker 2 00:04:01 Right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaker 4 00:04:02 Take their best guess. Speaker 2 00:04:03 Yeah. iPad. Speaker 4 00:04:07 The point is I'm not buying Speaker 2 00:04:09 It. Okay. Speaker 4 00:04:10 Okay. Then I have another point, which is that cor sec did nothing wrong. Speaker 3 00:04:16 <laugh>, but that's not true. Speaker 2 00:04:18 Corporate security. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:04:20 They started off by using their power to harass some random guy because he got service at the prostitute. Then before they did. Speaker 1 00:04:29 Oh, you, Well, those two guys, those Speaker 2 00:04:30 Two guys had in common Speaker 4 00:04:32 Guys. Some guy who was not supposed to be there. He should not have been in the corporate zone without proper identification Speaker 1 00:04:39 Again. So Speaker 3 00:04:41 Just using your power to randomly harass people on the street is Speaker 2 00:04:45 Yeah. That's like stop and frisk. Speaker 1 00:04:46 Yeah. Well, and they also were gonna take his money. Andrew's money, right? Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 4 00:04:50 Right. No, I mean of course they, No, I mean, I'm not serious that they did nothing wrong. My point that I was trying to make is that it's nice to see bad guys that aren't the imperials and that have a legitimate, a fairly legitimate motivation. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:05:06 The first I agree. Speaker 4 00:05:07 The first two guys like obvi. Yeah. Obviously like, they weren't like good guys, but this inspector guy is like obviously a highly dedicated individual. But the point is he, you can see where he's coming from and he's like, Two of our people were murdered. We need to stop them. And honestly, I mean an and or murdered that second guard, like almost pretty inexcusably to be honest, Speaker 2 00:05:31 To cover up his crowd. It's war. Speaker 1 00:05:33 Yeah. It's not war. It's Speaker 4 00:05:34 It's not war. Speaker 1 00:05:35 He wasn't fighting war about Speaker 2 00:05:37 It. It might be war. It's Speaker 4 00:05:39 Not, It's not war. Speaker 1 00:05:39 Unless you're being like the war to survive. Speaker 3 00:05:42 It's, his name says it's war in the trailer. Speaker 2 00:05:44 Oh yeah. You know what? Be nice to know how this corporate security thing fits in with the Empire. It sounds like there're subsidiary. Speaker 4 00:05:51 Yeah, there's some contractors. Speaker 2 00:05:53 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:05:54 Like the one of them says at one point the umpire on groups like them to maintain order. You know, So they don't have to, they don't have to do stuff themselves. Speaker 2 00:06:04 Right? Speaker 4 00:06:06 Yeah, Speaker 2 00:06:07 Yeah, yeah. Speaker 4 00:06:08 So they're like their empire light. Speaker 2 00:06:10 Yeah. I Speaker 1 00:06:11 Think that's what everyone liked about this. Uh, the series was the, the interesting bad guys. Speaker 2 00:06:17 Yeah. Me. Yeah. That's what Andrew and I liked. That one guy looks like Colin Hanks Speaker 3 00:06:23 The guy looks like everyone. Speaker 4 00:06:24 Yeah. He looks like Speaker 5 00:06:25 Everyone looks like Mark Zuckerberg's like a faceless character Sucks. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:06:33 Thought he was a great villain because he's like motivated. He's trying to do his thing. He's the only one like tailoring his outfit. Like I thought those were all great touches. Yeah. Yeah. And made for a great character. I mean, they may not have done anything wrong, Matt, but they certainly did things badly. Speaker 2 00:06:47 Oh, definitely. They're, Speaker 4 00:06:49 They definitely did things wrong. But the point is, it's nice to see that they, their actions make sense. They're consistent with the character. They believe they don't believe themselves to be the bad guys. Right? Yeah. They're not like we love the dark side <laugh> dark side rules. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:07:05 Yeah. It's Speaker 5 00:07:07 Like little management. Speaker 2 00:07:08 Can we talk for a sec? Speaker 3 00:07:09 Something, a death star, Speaker 2 00:07:10 Right? Yeah. Yeah. Thank God. Can we talk for a second about what makes a name a Star Wars name and Tim. Speaker 3 00:07:16 Tim. Two. Speaker 2 00:07:18 Tim with two. Speaker 3 00:07:19 Call Speaker 4 00:07:20 Him. Besides the second M enough. Speaker 2 00:07:21 What about Luke? Luke? Speaker 1 00:07:25 It's back. It's back. Speaker 4 00:07:26 I mean, No, that is true though. Speaker 2 00:07:28 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:07:29 How do you Malay Speaker 1 00:07:30 F I Speaker 2 00:07:31 Dunno. Speaker 4 00:07:31 No, I, after So Grenade, Speaker 2 00:07:34 Did you recognize the guy who played Tim from Marytown? Speaker 4 00:07:38 No, Speaker 2 00:07:39 He was the, the priest. Speaker 4 00:07:42 Oh, Speaker 2 00:07:43 Okay. Who hid the bicycle? Speaker 1 00:07:45 Uh, Ma is Q by the Speaker 4 00:07:47 Way. Okay. Thank you. Speaker 1 00:07:49 So yeah, I I guess also while we're talking about the, the officer guy, I know everyone says the third episode is like, Oh, so amazing. I didn't quite agree with that, but I did like Wow. He was kinda like a Captain Sok type where once he gets in he starts making bad decisions and like panics. Yeah. There's a bunch of people killed. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:08:09 I'm really curious where they go from now with his character cuz he like, this has gotta be some kind of major internal crisis for him. Speaker 2 00:08:16 He's, he's gonna get fired and he is gonna get recruited by the Empire. Speaker 3 00:08:19 No, I think worse is the empire's gonna come in and tell him fucked up <laugh>. I find I'm going based on the trailers Speaker 4 00:08:26 For that. And again, that was consistent with the character. Like, he's an inspector, he is like a, So he is like a detective. He's not a swat team leader. Yeah. Right. So it would make sense that they like respect him cuz he's the commander, but he's also in over his head. It doesn't know what he is doing. Speaker 3 00:08:41 Yeah. And yeah, sure. Speaker 4 00:08:45 Yeah. So it it, it's good. And, and again, like you feel bad for him and that part where he's seeing his like men's dead bodies, like I think you do feel bad for him. Right. Speaker 3 00:08:56 And you, it keeps going back to he was like, his original motivation was two of his people got killed. Right. You know, like at some level that is like a noble thing, even though they were, you know, Totally, uh, what's it called? Jerks, corporate people. Um, but then he goes in and he gets like eight more people killed <laugh>. Like literally. Speaker 4 00:09:20 Yeah. But he was trying to get justice for the first two guys Speaker 2 00:09:23 And he was doing this all totally unauthorized. Right. Like at the end he's looking around the destruction, the ship blew up, all these guys are dead. And you're like, Oh yeah, he didn't actually have permission to do any of this. Yeah. Speaker 4 00:09:32 His boss was like, Don't do it. <laugh>. I can't emphasize that enough that you should not do it. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:09:38 I actually really like the look that his boss gave us into how the Empire runs. Oh, totally. He's like, he's like, Yeah, I know. We're, our officers are corrupt. Our planet is, you know, has a legal activity. Our officers are partaking in slash patronizing that illegal activity. And we, our entire job is to try and not have anyone above us realize how bad this is. Speaker 2 00:10:01 Yep. Speaker 4 00:10:02 Seems kind of realistic. I daresay Speaker 3 00:10:04 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:10:05 Yeah. And again, you have two characters with opposing points of view that both make sense, that both make sense and are both logical from a you don't have to agree with that, but you can see where they're coming from, you know? Yeah. So that, that's really well, well written for a Star Wars show, Speaker 3 00:10:21 There was a lot of good writing for a Star Wars show. Um, and some of it I wouldn't even qualify. Some of it. I would just say there was a lot of good writing. Like I really liked the scene where we see him with his friend at the beginning where he's explaining to him what happened. He's saying, Oh Speaker 2 00:10:36 Yeah, yeah, no, Speaker 3 00:10:37 You saw me, you said that you had a thing at back at your house. Um, and then I really liked that his friend wasn't like, Okay, I guess I'll go along with that and help you out. His friend was like, No, you got too drunk. You said some wrong things. You're here to apologize right now. Like his friend was, you know, there with him. Right. It was trusting dialogue. We're following along, figuring out what's happening. It's world building at the same time. I, I thought that that was really a, a good scene and showed some of the better writing of the show. Speaker 4 00:11:07 It didn't, it did not talk down to the audience the way so many other shows seemed to these days. Speaker 3 00:11:12 Yeah. Speaker 5 00:11:15 The writers, like one of the Gilroy's that did like, you know, Michael Clayton born identity movies and he's like a, you know, Oscar guy, so he's got the Speaker 3 00:11:26 Interesting I didn't know that. Speaker 4 00:11:29 The brand, the talent. Speaker 3 00:11:30 No. Madagascar too on this one. Speaker 5 00:11:32 Yeah, exactly. Speaker 4 00:11:34 One of the thing a good, one of the things that was a good sign for me was when the show starts and it says, um, b b Y five. I did not that. Speaker 3 00:11:47 Yeah. I didn't either actually. What Speaker 2 00:11:48 Does that mean? That's good Speaker 4 00:11:49 To know. I mean exactly Alana. Exactly. It means before the Battle of Yan five years. Oh, Speaker 2 00:11:55 It Speaker 3 00:11:55 Doesn't. Yes, it Speaker 4 00:11:56 Does. It Speaker 3 00:11:57 That's what it's, Speaker 2 00:11:57 That's what they use to mark time as the Battle of Yan. Yeah. Speaker 4 00:12:01 And they, and then they always have get Speaker 3 00:12:02 This in the back of like, Yeah, Speaker 1 00:12:03 The old days of Star War Wars Speaker 3 00:12:04 Legends. I wanna, it means Baby Speaker 2 00:12:09 B eight was Speaker 4 00:12:12 But they don't spell it out. It's like, Yeah. It's like, this is what this is in Star Wars. If you get it, great. Look it up. Speaker 2 00:12:19 Don't make fun of me. It was a battle of yin dust star one or two. Speaker 4 00:12:23 Oh my God. Speaker 3 00:12:25 Get out. It was about the forest moon of Yin Speaker 4 00:12:31 Until we start on star. Please. Speaker 2 00:12:33 How do you know the indoor was a mood of Yan? Okay. I don't know Speaker 3 00:12:37 A mood. Yeah, it was, I was the first death star for those of our viewers who don't know Speaker 2 00:12:42 <laugh>. Speaker 4 00:12:42 Yeah. Yeah. Like Alana Speaker 3 00:12:44 <laugh>. Ooh, I found a war hug. Anyone wanna come? Speaker 4 00:12:47 Yeah, I just launched, but Speaker 3 00:12:49 Oh God. I gr it. Speaker 4 00:12:51 Take that war hug. Speaker 1 00:12:52 All right. That kinda cooking. So Yeah. And also when the same b y where it says such and such corporate zone, I was like, Oh, we're doing like the Blade of runner thing. Oh, Speaker 3 00:13:03 I was thinking we're doing the Rogue One thing again where we get introduced to 17 planets in the first five minutes. Speaker 4 00:13:08 Yeah. Unfortunately it wasn't like that. Oh, Speaker 3 00:13:11 Why did we Oh, <laugh> exist Speaker 2 00:13:16 Guys. There's a clip Speaker 1 00:13:18 That Cliffs killed us many times. Speaker 2 00:13:20 Really? Wait. Oh my God. It looked like the right way to go. Uh, BS and or other women who knew he was from Canari. I like that part with the mom. Speaker 1 00:13:29 Actually, I had something to say. All Bs. Did you guys notice for glamor shots? Speaker 2 00:13:33 You Speaker 4 00:13:34 Guys guys talked about it, but I didn't notice Like Speaker 3 00:13:36 In Speaker 2 00:13:36 What? Glam shots. What are you talking about? Speaker 1 00:13:38 When we were first introduced to her, when she takes the helmet off and goes, What? Speaker 2 00:13:42 Yeah, the Speaker 1 00:13:43 Camera lingers just a little too long. Speaker 2 00:13:46 She's Speaker 4 00:13:46 Hot. She like toss her hair back too. Speaker 1 00:13:49 I think it's supposed to be like, Oh wow. Speaker 2 00:13:51 She's the eye candy. She's the Wow. Damn. Speaker 3 00:13:54 I feel like you're telling on yourself Zach. No, Speaker 1 00:13:57 I can look at it and then do it again in the second episode. The previously on Andor. Okay. So, Huh, Speaker 3 00:14:04 Interesting. And Speaker 1 00:14:05 Then also there's a part where she takes her jacket off. You can see her, you know what's, You guys don't wanna tie it out. Speaker 2 00:14:10 I saw some side boob. Side boob. Speaker 4 00:14:12 I'm have to go back and watch that. Man. Speaker 3 00:14:14 I did not see sibo. I was robbed. Mm-hmm. Speaker 1 00:14:18 <affirmative>. How, how about her boyfriend guy who seems a lot older than that. Speaker 2 00:14:21 Tim Speaker 1 00:14:23 <laugh>. Speaker 4 00:14:24 Yeah. He's, I like that part too. When he, when he turns him in, he turns Cassie on in. Speaker 2 00:14:28 But what was his motivation? Jealousy. Speaker 4 00:14:31 Yeah, of course. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:14:32 And being drunk. Speaker 4 00:14:33 He sees them. Speaker 2 00:14:33 Oh yeah. He was wasted. Speaker 4 00:14:35 He sees them whispering swing nothings to him. And she's like, I'm gonna run errands. That means run into Cassie's dick. Speaker 3 00:14:41 And apparently Cassian has a reputation for being a womanizer. Speaker 4 00:14:45 The real piece of shit on this show, huh? Speaker 2 00:14:47 Yeah. He kinda is. Speaker 4 00:14:50 What, what Speaker 2 00:14:52 <laugh> He goes, everyone money he gets in the fights. Speaker 4 00:14:55 Like literally nobody likes him. Speaker 2 00:14:57 Yeah. This is, Speaker 1 00:14:58 He's a lovable rogue Speaker 2 00:15:00 Actually, that one, that big alien kinda liked him. He's like, told me to stand here. Speaker 4 00:15:04 Yeah. That that was a good scene too. That was pretty well, Speaker 3 00:15:06 And the lady with, um, with flat hair on the top seemed to like him. Speaker 2 00:15:11 The late the prostitute. Speaker 1 00:15:12 Yes. Wait, you mean his mom? Speaker 2 00:15:14 No, Speaker 1 00:15:15 <laugh>. Whoa. The one, the beginning. Okay. Speaker 3 00:15:18 And his mom likes him. Speaker 2 00:15:19 Yeah. His mom likes him. Yeah. His mom was kidnapped him, adopted Speaker 4 00:15:22 Mother. Speaker 2 00:15:23 Are we gonna talk about, like, are they gonna address that in the show? Like, Hey, you adopted me or not adopted, kidnapped from my planet. Speaker 4 00:15:30 Of course they can address it. That's the whole point of the flashbacks. Speaker 2 00:15:32 Okay. Speaker 4 00:15:34 Yeah. Speaker 2 00:15:34 Also, I thought pretty much the whole time until I saw the down ship with the respirators that the empire was gonna use canary for target practice. Speaker 3 00:15:44 I thought that the ship with the respirators was gonna be like the problem. Cause you saw how everyone turned yellow and they talked about like a mining accident. I thought Speaker 2 00:15:52 It still Speaker 3 00:15:53 Could be a mining Speaker 2 00:15:54 Accident. No, no, no. It's still could be. I think. Oh, they're gonna, Speaker 3 00:15:58 I was dumb. That was wrong. Speaker 2 00:15:59 Oh, <laugh>. I don't, I don't think so. I think that they could comment and blow up the ship and it unleashes the chemical weapon and kills everyone on the planet. Speaker 3 00:16:08 Here's the evidence that Emily pointed out to me, which I accepted. I think that choose correct. Um, it was, um, uh, so the, the planet was already looked abandoned. We get a glimpse at those minds. There's nothing in 'em. We only see children hanging out together. Where are the adults? Yeah. The adults all got killed, or the adults all gets conscripted to work in the minds. Speaker 2 00:16:31 I did wonder about that. Speaker 3 00:16:32 Um, and and again, just to emphasize, none of the mining equipment is working the entire time we see it. They walk around the mind. They're not expecting people there. Um, so that, those were the reasons she said to me that she thought that the mining disaster had already happened. Speaker 1 00:16:46 Wow. Speaker 3 00:16:47 Reasonable to me. Speaker 1 00:16:50 I I also thought the part with the kids that reminded me of the Ox movies. Speaker 3 00:16:55 <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:16:56 Well, I like Mad Max beyond Thunder Dome five. Speaker 2 00:16:58 That actually, that's a really good theory that already happened. And that's why he thinks his sister's still alive. Whereas if they blew up the planet with a death star zero. Well, Speaker 3 00:17:07 Death Star zero doesn't work until later. Like, Death Star Zero, the first shot at fires. Well, the second shot of fires, it's Cassian. Speaker 2 00:17:13 How could that be? That's the first time they ever shoot it. Wait, is that really what happens in one? Did Speaker 3 00:17:19 You watch Rogue One? Speaker 2 00:17:20 It was, it's been a while. Have watched. Speaker 3 00:17:22 You should rewatch it right now. Speaker 4 00:17:24 <laugh> guys. Where's the battle of ya again? Speaker 2 00:17:27 <laugh>. It's a battle of your Speaker 4 00:17:29 Face. Yeah. I want a shot Speaker 1 00:17:30 Turn into gate keeping. Speaker 2 00:17:32 Yeah. Seriously? Oh, I don't have a steel trap story. Trivial Pursuit memory. Speaker 3 00:17:37 <laugh>. Yes. Correct. Speaker 4 00:17:40 Yeah. I, Speaker 2 00:17:42 I mean, who knew? The Battle of Yin was so impactful. They had to name it after, like, Jesus, Speaker 4 00:17:47 Did you read any of the books? Speaker 5 00:17:48 Turning of the War Speaker 1 00:17:50 <laugh>? Speaker 3 00:17:50 Um, yeah. Anyway, so the, that the, the Death Star doesn't canonically fire until Rogue One, Um, is my understanding. Okay. They worked on it for a long time, and G Urso made sure that they Galen Speaker 2 00:18:05 Rso. Speaker 3 00:18:06 Yeah, Galen Urso made sure that they kept fucking it up for a while and they kept having to Speaker 6 00:18:13 Yes. Speaker 3 00:18:13 Repair it. Speaker 6 00:18:15 His, Yeah. He kept sabotaging it Bit by bit Speaker 3 00:18:17 Is apparently what happened. So Speaker 6 00:18:20 And so. Yes. It was the first time they fire it. Speaker 2 00:18:24 Jay been quiet. Speaker 5 00:18:25 You like the show Jay? Like, Speaker 6 00:18:31 Um, can't say, Speaker 3 00:18:34 Did you not watch it? Speaker 2 00:18:35 They doesn't have an opinion. Speaker 6 00:18:37 I haven't been home. This is the first day I've been home. Speaker 3 00:18:40 You haven't watched Speaker 2 00:18:41 It? No. Watched Speaker 3 00:18:41 It. We're spoiling it for you. Yay. Speaker 6 00:18:43 That's why I'm not paying attention. But I am listening to conversation bits and Yes. That was the first time they fired the guy. The they can, I'm just, I I, Spoilers don't affect me. Speaker 1 00:18:58 It's Speaker 6 00:18:59 True. Phone out. Where Speaker 2 00:19:00 Were you? Speaker 6 00:19:01 I was away. Speaker 1 00:19:03 Okay. Speaker 2 00:19:04 Okay. Speaker 4 00:19:05 Way away. Speaker 6 00:19:06 Secrets. Speaker 4 00:19:07 We said. All right. Keep your secrets. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:19:10 Busy watching the Rings of Power. Speaker 2 00:19:12 Yeah. Right. Speaker 6 00:19:13 I have not seen a single episode of that either. Speaker 4 00:19:15 I like it. Speaker 1 00:19:16 It's all right. Speaker 2 00:19:17 We saw 15 minutes of Speaker 6 00:19:19 What continue on the conversation. Speaker 1 00:19:21 <laugh>. Speaker 6 00:19:22 If we didn't talk about, Speaker 4 00:19:23 If we didn't know Cast again from Rogue Wine, I'd be like, This guy's completely unlikeable. I mean, I mean, to be honest, I, the only, the writing I don't like is the, is the, where he has has the same conversation. And a lot of these characters do have it over and over again where they, um, he goes to people, he asks them to lend them money or help 'em out. They don't want to. He, but he, but he's like, Oh, come on, please. You gotta help me. And then they're like, Okay, I will. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:19:49 Yeah. I think it's just to emphasize that he's a man, kind of at the extent of his goodwill. Speaker 5 00:19:56 He's talking Speaker 3 00:19:56 To all these people, people, and every one of 'em is like, this is the last time. Speaker 4 00:19:59 But he, and and also there's a part where they're like, you're, you can't talk your way out of it. You'll be in a situation that you can't talk your way out of. But he's not that charismatic, to be honest, in my opinion. Like compared to Han Solo and Lando Cal Rian, which I feel like are the most equivalent characters of him, he's not that he's not that charming and he's not that convincing. Speaker 1 00:20:18 Yeah. Maybe they would mean more like you're gonna be in a situation you can't think your way out of. I I Do you think that was supposed to be like over his eventual death back to the Death Speaker 4 00:20:28 Star? Maybe. Speaker 3 00:20:28 Definitely foreshadowing or reverse shadowing <laugh>. Um, Speaker 4 00:20:34 Could be, No, Speaker 1 00:20:35 I can say foreshadowing, Speaker 5 00:20:37 But he's got a lot of drive. I mean, he's like constant, like, like forward motion. He's like never resting. Speaker 4 00:20:42 But that seems, that's seems because he is like desperate. Speaker 5 00:20:45 Yeah. And that's like a good care for motivation. I feel like characters don't even be like, And it just be like interesting. Speaker 3 00:20:51 The one scene where I think we do some do see him talking his way out of stuff is when he's talking to that guy and the guy, um, like hired some guy to stand next to him and intimidate him in order to get his money back. Speaker 1 00:21:07 Yeah. Speaker 3 00:21:08 <laugh>. And he's like, and he's like talking to the guy. He's like, Why are you doing this? And the guy's like, I'm just, you just said to stand here. And he is like, Oh, good. <laugh>. Speaker 1 00:21:15 Like Yeah. He figured out what's going on. Speaker 2 00:21:17 Yeah. Speaker 3 00:21:19 So that kind of felt like what they're talking about, but yeah. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> it wasn't nearly as, Speaker 4 00:21:25 Yeah. I find like, I find money problems a little bit like it's the same conflict over and over again, but it is consistent to Star Wars because Han Solo had money problems, you know, trying to figure it out. So Speaker 2 00:21:40 Sister, Speaker 1 00:21:41 More money, more problems Speaker 2 00:21:42 On my own. Speaker 1 00:21:44 I'm not in it for your revolution. Speaker 2 00:21:46 Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:21:47 It's not in it for you, Princess. Speaker 1 00:21:50 So I was wondering in the flashbacks when his, his buddy, I don't know who that was. The girl who gets killed by the Republic guy or gets Oh yeah. No. Guess we don't know if she got killed. Speaker 3 00:22:01 I don't think we ever know her name. Or if we do, it would just be like a We need Jay, We need Jay to watch it. Speaker 2 00:22:06 What are we talking about? Speaker 3 00:22:07 Um, the, the girl on the woman who be like, is emulating or crushing on or something at the beginning in the, in the flashbacks. Speaker 2 00:22:15 Oh, oh, the hooker? Speaker 1 00:22:18 No, no, the the primitive girl. Speaker 2 00:22:21 Oh, the leader. The leader chick. I Speaker 4 00:22:23 Don't remember him crushing on her. I thought, I Speaker 2 00:22:25 Thought he was just like, Wow. She's so charismatic and a leader. Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:22:29 Charismatic. I Speaker 4 00:22:31 Just remind, I just admire her leadership skills. Right. Speaker 3 00:22:33 But like, she's the one who's nice to him and stuff. I mean, it's, again, they don't have to say what their relationship is or what, Speaker 2 00:22:40 Anyway. Isn't she dead though? Speaker 1 00:22:42 Okay. Yeah, Speaker 4 00:22:43 They're all dead. Speaker 1 00:22:44 So as I was saying, Speaker 2 00:22:45 Are blasters are so blasters are like inconsistent store. Right. Sometimes they're fatal, sometimes they're just like, Ow it hurts. Speaker 4 00:22:53 Yeah. It depends on whether you main character Speaker 2 00:22:55 Or not, Right? Speaker 1 00:22:56 Yeah. So my question is, is that why Andrew doesn't like the Empire, even though Speaker 2 00:23:01 Yes. That's what I had like earlier in the tape. Speaker 4 00:23:06 Are you gonna do your anecdote about, um, his blaster? Speaker 3 00:23:10 Oh yeah. Well, I mean, I think everyone's probably seen, like every single Star Wars YouTuber has uploaded this, and I'm sure it's been all over Reddit. But the blaster that he uses is the same blaster that Kio Kat guitar uses. Speaker 1 00:23:22 Oh. Speaker 2 00:23:22 Oh, York Earl. Speaker 3 00:23:24 But I noticed that myself. Speaker 1 00:23:26 <laugh> not seen that. Actually he Blaster reminded me of, uh, Rick Decker's pistol from Blade Runner. Oh Speaker 2 00:23:32 Yeah. So his name is, Speaker 3 00:23:34 And Dark Forces was modeled after Rick's fist Speaker 1 00:23:37 <laugh>. Oh, okay. Speaker 2 00:23:38 <laugh>. So we're, so he is Cassian and or, and or Kyle Cat Cassian and or Kyle. Speaker 1 00:23:45 I think it's more like just a reference Speaker 2 00:23:47 Probably, but Speaker 1 00:23:48 I did like it. Speaker 3 00:23:49 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:23:50 Why does, Go ahead. Speaker 3 00:23:52 I was just gonna say, I thought that was cool. I, I like Dark Forces as a kid, so it was nice to see them include it. Speaker 4 00:23:59 I Why does the client Luther have like a pretend lightsaber that he waves around? Speaker 2 00:24:04 Right. I Speaker 3 00:24:05 Was like walking stick Speaker 2 00:24:06 Thing. He looks like a cause player. <laugh>, Speaker 3 00:24:09 You Speaker 4 00:24:09 Know, But it's like, it's a white stick with a handle that looks like a light saer handle. Speaker 1 00:24:13 Are, are you sure? It isn't just a space walking stick? And that's what it looks like in space. He Speaker 4 00:24:17 Doesn't, it doesn't use it. Use it around. He doesn't use it like a walking stick does. Speaker 2 00:24:21 It doesn't touch the ground. Speaker 4 00:24:22 It doesn't notice the ground. He, he doesn't lean on it. Speaker 3 00:24:25 He walks around with it quite a bit. I feel like you don't lean on walking sticks. Is Speaker 2 00:24:29 He? What? Speaker 4 00:24:29 <laugh> I'm Speaker 6 00:24:31 You do. Maybe it has a rep. The, You don't have Speaker 3 00:24:34 To, It's not a crutch. It's like a, you like rest some weight on it, but you don't put a lot of pressure on it. Speaker 1 00:24:39 Oh, that's true. Yeah. Speaker 6 00:24:41 You don't put your whole, it, it's a balancing. It helps Reba Speaker 4 00:24:44 It puts no weight on it though. Speaker 6 00:24:45 Maybe has a repulsor. It has a repulsor on the end. How Speaker 3 00:24:49 About that? It seemed like a normal, um, walking stick to me. But I, I wasn't paying close attention to how he was walking with it. Uh, but I didn't notice that. It looked like a lightsaber that, that you mention. Speaker 4 00:25:00 Yeah, it definitely did. Speaker 3 00:25:01 Maybe he's a Jedi fan boy Speaker 4 00:25:06 Sense. Speaker 1 00:25:07 It's entirely possible. Um, it's four sensitive So BS middle grounds. Okay. If I was gonna change the subject, unless you guys have something. Speaker 4 00:25:16 Ooh, sand trap. Another classic map. Go. Speaker 2 00:25:20 Um, The Death Death Troopers. Speaker 1 00:25:26 The Death Troopers. Speaker 2 00:25:27 I was gonna say, I was watching this and they were zombie troopers. Yeah. They're showing the chemical weapon ship. And I was like, zombie troopers. Speaker 3 00:25:35 Oh, Speaker 1 00:25:36 <laugh>. That'd be great. That's what residue needs. Bad prostitution, Speaker 3 00:25:41 Zombies are over zombie. Speaker 2 00:25:43 That whole thing also just reminded me of Serenity and the, the river planet. Speaker 3 00:25:48 Yeah. That's Speaker 4 00:25:48 Good. I could say that Speaker 3 00:25:50 Also, it's, it's weird cuz we're so used to the Republic being the good guys to see the Republic crash land there and then the mm-hmm. <affirmative>, you know. Yeah. Really the bad guys. Speaker 1 00:26:00 These guys just like driven out fear though, that like, he's surrounded by all these unknown people. I don't know. Speaker 3 00:26:09 Could be Speaker 4 00:26:11 Dude Speaker 1 00:26:13 <laugh>. Well, yeah, I liked how the Republic guys weren't clones, but also like, Yeah, you land on an unfamiliar plant, you don't know what's going on. I could see them reacting like that. Speaker 4 00:26:23 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:26:24 Anyone wanna drive the elephant? Speaker 4 00:26:25 I will. Speaker 2 00:26:27 Do you guys, Speaker 4 00:26:28 You wanna get on the gun? Speaker 2 00:26:30 I that the canary kids sticks kind of looked like Ray stick. Speaker 3 00:26:35 They're dicks, Speaker 2 00:26:36 They're stick Speaker 1 00:26:38 Dick. They're Speaker 3 00:26:39 Sticks. Uh, Speaker 1 00:26:40 Say again Speaker 4 00:26:41 <laugh> Speaker 3 00:26:41 Because it was longer. It was wide. Speaker 2 00:26:44 Yeah. Maybe I was like, maybe Ray's from Canari. Speaker 4 00:26:48 Oh, on the right. Speaker 2 00:26:49 Just kidding. We know Sheed pal Speaker 4 00:26:53 Still from Canari though. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:26:54 The PAL'S header when they were on Canari. Speaker 4 00:26:58 Anything about the PPI wife? Speaker 2 00:27:00 True. Speaker 1 00:27:01 She's from nbu. It all comes full circle. Speaker 2 00:27:04 Insane. Speaker 4 00:27:05 I dunno which way rhymes. Oh, Speaker 1 00:27:07 Id. So anyway, um, what did we think about, So the fight at the end. Who, who's that actor by the way? The Speaker 4 00:27:15 Old guard. Stars guard. Speaker 1 00:27:16 Okay. With him and sells guard with inside that warehouse. To me it felt like it was something out of an uncharted video game. <laugh> Speaker 2 00:27:22 Yeah. Quick time events with Speaker 5 00:27:24 A lot of environmental kills. Yeah. That Speaker 3 00:27:26 Was pretty cool with all those following things. I Speaker 4 00:27:28 Liked it. I was very excited though. Speaker 2 00:27:30 I I was, I was getting so frustrated watching it though, when, So they're negotiating, Right. And then Stellan walks all the way to the end of the room and then the guy follows him and leaves the super valuable imperial pieces of equipment just like at the end of the room for some reason. Yeah. I was like, what are you doing? Speaker 1 00:27:49 Yeah. Yeah. So and so he could leave it behind later. Speaker 2 00:27:53 Yeah, I know. I know why. But it was, it was just, just like, why pick it up and take it with you? It's that valuable. Speaker 4 00:28:04 I agree. Speaker 1 00:28:05 What, what are they called? The box? Yeah. I like that. Speaker 2 00:28:07 Yeah, Speaker 4 00:28:10 Yeah, yeah. Speaker 1 00:28:11 Okay. So I Speaker 4 00:28:12 Anecdote too. Speaker 1 00:28:13 So I also something to share the part where everyone was, was pounding their like pots and pants. Speaker 4 00:28:21 Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:28:22 So first of all, Speaker 4 00:28:23 Was that like Iraq? Speaker 1 00:28:25 Well actually I was gonna say it's like Ireland so on. This is why you gotta read, uh, say nothing. Yeah. There's a Paul really talk about this. So it was not done for intimidation, like the guy says, But to warn people who are gonna be arrested to get away, it's like communicating. Speaker 4 00:28:42 That makes sense. Yeah. It's like the cops are, it's like the cops are coming Watch out Speaker 2 00:28:45 Buzz. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:28:46 Yeah. But, and I thought they were gonna do that here, but Thenor just never hears them for no apparent reason. Speaker 2 00:28:52 It's more like the whole area mobilizes to slow down the cops. Speaker 1 00:28:57 But the, but like, I don't understand why he didn't hear the pounding until the cops are like right there. Cause Speaker 2 00:29:02 He was in a factory on the outskirts of town and the people banging were like in the town. Speaker 4 00:29:08 Hmm. Speaker 2 00:29:09 That's Speaker 1 00:29:09 What I thought. If I buy that <laugh>. Speaker 5 00:29:11 Yeah. Cause when the explosion happened, they didn't immediately attack like with all, all their guys. They're like a separate part of the city. Speaker 2 00:29:17 Yeah. I, I don't know. The guys like, oh, the pounding. Like that's not good. I thought that meant like yeah, that means they're going to attack you. Not they're trying to warn Cassian. That's what I thought. I don't know. Speaker 4 00:29:28 Yeah, exactly. I agree. Speaker 5 00:29:33 Anybody notice when like after that little battle skirmish someone, a character just yells back to, in like the background? Speaker 4 00:29:39 I guess it's cause somebody gets hurt. It was, it was one of the soldiers got hurt Speaker 5 00:29:48 Though. Speaker 1 00:29:58 The droid, There always is one. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:30:01 Noticed he was in the trailer or the, not the trailer. The beginning, the intro. Speaker 4 00:30:07 Oh, I didn't notice that. Uh, he is fine. I like that he's broken. Speaker 2 00:30:11 Yeah, Speaker 3 00:30:12 I like that. We see that we see him in the flashback and he's like way more functional. I thought that was a cool touch. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:30:19 Yeah. Uh, that's about all I got. Speaker 3 00:30:22 Um, music Speaker 5 00:30:23 Can by Nicholas Brittle who did like succession and stuff. So it kind of has a different vibe. Like there's like some guitar, I think even at some point. Speaker 3 00:30:30 Hang hang. Another reason that he doesn't like the Empire is the empire executed his father. Speaker 2 00:30:35 Oh yeah. We find that out. Um, very quickly. I felt. Speaker 3 00:30:40 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:30:41 Yet I don't remember. I don't Speaker 2 00:30:43 Remember. They're like, And also your father was hung by the Ampire and you're like, What? Speaker 1 00:30:46 Yeah. He says, Yeah. That's where they hung your father. Yeah. Speaker 4 00:30:49 Uh, Speaker 2 00:30:51 Supposed scars guard knew that somehow. Speaker 4 00:30:54 Yep. Yeah. He knows a lot about He did his research. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:30:57 He probably was looking in the Jedi archives. He's a Jedi fanboy. Speaker 4 00:31:05 It's possible the archives are incomplete. Speaker 1 00:31:07 Anything's possible. Speaker 2 00:31:08 I liked how they had like, the database of people and they had like the old picture of Cassian without the beard like that, you know? Speaker 3 00:31:15 Yeah. I like that too. I I did like that part where they're like tracking him and all that. I thought that was interesting. Um, again, I felt like that was pretty solid world, world building. Oh, I liked it. Speaker 4 00:31:29 One thing I didn't like is that he mentions the sister, uh, in the part with the, uh, with the cops. And then it is never brought up again. I, and I, I didn't like that. I thought I would've, I would've had people be like, I, and I would've had the people in the town be like, Look, I know you're desperate to get your sister back, but I can't pay you. You know, I can't give you money right now. Like, I would just have it be mentioned again. Well, Speaker 3 00:31:55 But he no one else knows. He's looking for his sister. Speaker 2 00:31:57 Right. That's Speaker 4 00:31:58 Right. So he would tell this random brothel lady, but not, Yeah. Speaker 2 00:32:01 Cause he was desperate in that moment. Speaker 3 00:32:03 He's trying to, and he doesn't, she's not gonna like find him ever again. He's not gonna see her ever Speaker 2 00:32:07 Again. It turned and it turned out to be a huge mistake. Speaker 3 00:32:10 Yeah. Speaker 2 00:32:10 Because he was like, I'm looking for a girl from Canari. And she's like, What are you like dating her? He's like, No, I'm related to her. Which means he's from Canari. Yeah. And that's how they found him. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:32:19 The super secret planet that people aren't supposed to know about. Right. Speaker 4 00:32:22 But everybody knows about it. Speaker 1 00:32:25 The whole sister's kind of strange cuz it's like, well this is his whole, like, life's mission. And Speaker 4 00:32:30 He couldn't have talked to like Mara about it. Like his mom, Speaker 2 00:32:33 Marva Speaker 4 00:32:34 Marva or whatever. Speaker 3 00:32:35 I assume he did Speaker 2 00:32:36 Mava with two A's. Speaker 3 00:32:38 But even she, it sounds like Speaker 2 00:32:40 She might know about it doesn't, Speaker 4 00:32:42 I guess I just would've reminded the dumb. I guess I would've reminded the dumb audience about it. <laugh>. Cause it's mentioned the, in the very beginning of the first episode and then never brought up again. Speaker 3 00:32:50 Yeah. I I was assuming we're gonna see more at some point. But you're right that it feels weird that he's literally talking about it No one when it's so important to Speaker 4 00:33:00 Him. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:33:00 Yeah. I'm, I'm just waiting for something in the flashback on Canary to relate back to it. Speaker 4 00:33:05 It will. I'm sure it will. But yeah. All right. So shall we move on to Star Girl? Speaker 1 00:33:10 Uh, yeah. Should we say general impressions of Andor? I, I don't quite like it as much as it seems like everyone else does, but it's not bad. I don't really have any specific compliance. Speaker 4 00:33:21 I think it's, Yeah, I think it's fine. So far the, um, I think like every Star War show starts off strong and everybody says it's amazing and then it quickly go and then it goes downhill and everybody hates it. Yeah. So, you know, we'll see. So far so good. Speaker 2 00:33:35 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:33:37 You know, I remember you can, you know, you can go back and watch early OB won Shell, people loved Dead. Speaker 3 00:33:42 The first two episodes I thought were great of ob one. The ones after that weren't as great in my opinion. Speaker 4 00:33:48 Yeah. Speaker 5 00:33:49 I think it's the best Star Wars thing since Sports Awakens. I don't know. No, it's, I really do though. I feel like it's like, at least so far, Speaker 4 00:33:56 Ironically, think that Speaker 5 00:33:58 No, no. Ironically, I think it's, I think it might still shut the bear cause I think it's like 12 episodes or something, but, uh, what? Speaker 3 00:34:03 Well, really, Speaker 5 00:34:04 Wow. Yeah. I think it's a long one. Speaker 3 00:34:06 That's a lot of time to shit the bed. I don't Speaker 1 00:34:08 Think I'm not ready for that kind of commitment. Speaker 4 00:34:11 Well, it seems like the three episode premier, it's gonna be completely d the rest of the show's gonna be completely different. It's about him joining the Rebellion. It's, and you know, that's why he had all three going at once because Speaker 3 00:34:22 Ron Mo's gonna show up. Speaker 1 00:34:24 Yeah, yeah, Speaker 5 00:34:25 Yeah. And there's less 20 Gilroy writing and Yeah. We'll, we'll see how it goes. But right now I'm really digging Speaker 1 00:34:31 It. Okay. That's good. There's something else I wanted to say. I really like that guy's speech, uh, selling scars, guards speech Speaker 2 00:34:37 About the Empire. Speaker 1 00:34:38 Yeah. He's like someone eventually he's gonna push back. Speaker 5 00:34:43 I don't really, Yeah, I really like that speech. Yeah, Speaker 1 00:34:45 That was good. Speaker 4 00:34:46 Timing was a little Speaker 2 00:34:47 Weird when they're talking about how arrogant the empire is. I like that too. Yeah. Speaker 5 00:34:51 Mm-hmm. <affirmative> like through grounds. Speaker 4 00:34:53 Yeah. Where, where casings like you just walk in and Yeah. I like that part. All Speaker 2 00:34:58 That Speaker 3 00:34:58 Was just Speaker 2 00:34:59 Yeah. For you. Star Wars alternates, so Wow. Speaker 4 00:35:01 Nobody kinda respond to that. Okay. Speaker 3 00:35:04 That's me. I'm as well as ary Speaker 2 00:35:06 When selling and Scars Guard is on that like shuttle and that guy is talking to him. Is that guy like someone from the original series? I Speaker 4 00:35:15 Thought he was Anthony Daniels, but I looked and I looked him up, but he's not, he's just, some dude Speaker 3 00:35:19 Briefly thought that too, Matt. I I see why you thought that. And yeah. Speaker 2 00:35:24 I would've Nice Anthony Daniels that looking him up in my, Speaker 4 00:35:27 Uh, How dare you. We Speaker 2 00:35:29 Were this Well, I said you would've, I said you would have. I was giving you a compli. Well Speaker 4 00:35:32 You had like a mustache and a hat on. So I doubted myself and I was rap to doubt myself Speaker 1 00:35:36 Because it wasn't him <laugh>. No, it definitely was not. I don't really know what the deal with that is. I guess it's like more world building. Speaker 3 00:35:45 Yeah. I just assumed that some weird guy and Speaker 1 00:35:49 <laugh> some old really friendly old guy. They exist to Star Wars too, Speaker 3 00:35:54 And he like sets to build up some more of the world as well. He's like, Oh, they used to have this, you know, they, you used to be, you could ride across the wasteland and it cost way less. Candy bars were bigger. Speaker 1 00:36:08 That's right. The Speaker 5 00:36:10 Show takes the time to at least have that scene, which is, I don't know, just feels different then. Like Mandalorian, which is like gonna rush to go from plot beat to plot beat. Speaker 1 00:36:18 Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Yeah. I agree. They spent a lot of time with selling Scars Guard where I feel like a different show would've just had him be like, Here I am. I'm the buyer. Yep. Speaker 3 00:36:25 Agreed. It was nice that he was built up. And I also liked that they never actually are like, this guy is the buyer. They just like show him landing. You know? It cuts to him after they're like, there's a buyer coming. And then, you know, it doesn't explicitly say that that's what he is. Mm-hmm. <affirmative> or who he is. Speaker 1 00:36:43 Yeah. You figure it out. Let's you figure it out instead of man explaining it to Speaker 3 00:36:48 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:36:50 You play the team. Speaker 3 00:36:52 We didn't, Speaker 1 00:36:53 That's the losing team. Speaker 3 00:36:55 Anyway. I, I thought it was pretty good. I I was really pleased with the different pacing and the apparently better writing. Um, I, I thought that one thing I really liked is in the last, at the end of the second episode, when he's flying away, they have, um, they linger on each of the faces of each of the people who's been like, they linger on the face of his friend who's the minor who tied up the ship and made it crash. You know, they linger on the face of the, the cop who just got his whole squad killed. They linger on the face of BX who's, you know, um, boyfriend. Just, yeah. Anyway, it, I feel like they did a really good job of lingering on each of those faces and you can kind of think what they're going through at that Speaker 2 00:37:40 Moment. They're like, Damn, you Cassian Speaker 3 00:37:43 <laugh>, Speaker 1 00:37:44 You've, you've screwed us again. Speaker 3 00:37:46 But it feels like, it just feels like the show managed to make that third episode impactful for all of the characters that they've introduced so far. Which I thought was, I don't know. I thought that they did a good job with that. Speaker 1 00:37:57 I agree. Okay. So store girl. I only have a few observations. Speaker 2 00:38:02 Yeah. I was thinking about like, nothing happened in this episode. Speaker 1 00:38:06 Yeah. So my, my first is that, so Beth has been Synchrony Weaver from Galaxy Quest for a long time, but this episode was particularly egregious. How So? The goggles would be like evidence detected and Beth would say, Wait, I found some evidence. My God, there's evidence <laugh>. Yeah. And then she'd walk over to it and the goggles would say, Human skin cells. And she'd be like, It's a human skin cell <laugh>. Speaker 2 00:38:31 Yeah. So, Wow. Speaker 1 00:38:33 It's like, I guess she's always been like that cuz that's just the way her powers work. But I just noticed it a lot more this time. Speaker 4 00:38:40 Oh. Uh, yeah. So this one was a little bit more, It was, it was more kind of more table setting, like Jay was saying. Uh, you know, just setting things up. The main thing that they move along is the cam. And that's, that's uh, br brecks term for it. Not mine, uh, relationship. Speaker 1 00:38:59 This the shop. The one true pairing Speaker 2 00:39:01 Cam. Yeah. That's a terrible name. Speaker 4 00:39:03 I know. I didn't like I didn't make it up. Speaker 1 00:39:06 It's Speaker 2 00:39:07 Be Ice Star. Speaker 4 00:39:10 No, but this is their normal names, not their superhero names Cole Call Speaker 1 00:39:17 Startle. Speaker 2 00:39:18 Yeah. That's, that's pretty good. Speaker 4 00:39:20 Stars and ice Speaker 1 00:39:22 Are big and price. Woo. Yeah. Piece of this guy. Speaker 4 00:39:27 Uh, yeah. So, Speaker 1 00:39:29 Okay, so then they find a skin cell from Dragon King. So they were all like, Dragon King must be alive. Not that the skin cell came from his daughter Speaker 2 00:39:38 Or like the ultra human night. Speaker 1 00:39:40 What, what Speaker 4 00:39:41 <laugh> Speaker 1 00:39:42 How that a reasonable Speaker 4 00:39:43 The Ultraman Speaker 2 00:39:45 Someone the separate. It was like, I think the villa's ultraman Speaker 4 00:39:49 For sure. Yeah. Well the is smart. Speaker 2 00:39:53 Yeah. He's smart. He's a monkey. He's strong. He's strong. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:39:59 Does he have the power to lift people in the air telepathically? Speaker 4 00:40:02 Uh, no. He can lift them up normally. Speaker 2 00:40:05 Yeah. He's got super strength. Speaker 1 00:40:06 What, what about Joe Maci who got thrown in the air by an invisible force? Speaker 2 00:40:10 It wasn't invisible. He just didn't sing it. We just Speaker 4 00:40:13 Didn't it. Speaker 1 00:40:14 We Speaker 4 00:40:14 Saw Speaker 2 00:40:14 It. No, we saw nothing. All Speaker 4 00:40:16 It doesn't matter Anyway, so yeah. So, Speaker 1 00:40:22 So that's Speaker 4 00:40:23 The main, that's the main revelation. Uh, but the best part is the return of the Real is the Real Doctor Midnight and, Yes. I'm gonna say the Real Doctor. Midnight. Speaker 1 00:40:32 Aw, Speaker 2 00:40:32 Okay. That's fine. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:40:34 He would disagree though. Speaker 2 00:40:35 Yeah, he would. Speaker 1 00:40:37 Yeah. He was good. Speaker 2 00:40:39 I actually thought that was like, I love world building like that where they're like, Wow, a weird wound. Let's call this doctor. I know. And then they're actually there. It's like, yeah. It's not just, we couldn't afford the actor this time. So it's like some random person. Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. It's like, no, we established this character and we brought them back. Speaker 1 00:40:57 Good. Yeah. Yeah. Also, um, Yeah, DC people Speaker 3 00:41:00 Aren't famous enough. Famous enough to not show up in media. Speaker 4 00:41:05 Yeah. The guy who plays Dr. Midnight is like, Sure, I'll, I'll join. Speaker 2 00:41:09 He's like, I'm busy on these like British shows. Cause I assume that guy's British. Speaker 1 00:41:12 Yeah. Do you guys feel like he explained to Storm Man's Resurrection a little, A little easily. Speaker 2 00:41:17 He must. He's gotta be wrong. Honestly, that's, I feel like there's, we're still, I feel like we're still that plot line's not resolved. It's too weird. Speaker 4 00:41:29 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:41:29 Yeah. Also just having the staff do everything. It's like, come on. So lame. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:41:34 Makes Speaker 4 00:41:34 Sense though. Speaker 2 00:41:35 They mentioned Ted Night on the show before. Right. Speaker 1 00:41:37 Just Speaker 4 00:41:38 Yeah. It's always nice to hear a shout out. Speaker 2 00:41:39 Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:41:40 They mention him again. What? Speaker 4 00:41:42 Yeah, Speaker 2 00:41:42 In that episode, Speaker 4 00:41:43 Joel Joel's like, ever since I got the staff from Ted, I've been blah blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Speaker 1 00:41:47 Yeah. I must have missed that. That's great. You've been the dream alive. I Speaker 4 00:41:51 Can You missed that. It was written specifically for you. Yeah, Speaker 1 00:41:54 It's made for me. Any thoughts? Speaker 4 00:42:01 Maybe he hasn't seen it. Speaker 2 00:42:03 Oh, seen what? Speaker 1 00:42:04 Star Girl. Speaker 2 00:42:05 Star Girl. Oh, Jay. Yeah. Speaker 6 00:42:08 Uh, you pretty much said most of it. Speaker 2 00:42:12 How about that part with Crusher and the gang? Speaker 4 00:42:17 The gang? Speaker 2 00:42:18 Yeah. We're we're, uh, Speaker 6 00:42:19 Boys Club the basement of Dwelling Boys Club. Yeah. Speaker 1 00:42:22 Where they watch was Speaker 4 00:42:23 Great. Is great. They're getting to be friends. I love that part. That's what taco's all about. Especially this season. Speaker 1 00:42:30 Uh, also, I I I had another, this is a stray observation. When be says Dragon King, I laughed cuz she like pauses and then goes Dragon King. Speaker 2 00:42:41 You Speaker 1 00:42:42 Remember Speaker 4 00:42:42 That? Speaker 1 00:42:45 Say, it's probably worth going back and watching it, but it is funny. Speaker 4 00:42:50 I believe it sounds fun. It sounds funny. Um, Speaker 1 00:42:55 Are you also, what do we feel about Dragon if he, if he is in fact coming back, I'm okay with that. Cause he kind of got the shaft last time Speaker 2 00:43:02 He murdered him. Speaker 4 00:43:03 He's not, he's not back. It's definitely Cindy, Cindy. He murdered the gambler. And we're all in denial about it because we wanna be, we want Courtney to think it's to be right. Oh Speaker 6 00:43:14 No. Who's watching all the monitors? Speaker 1 00:43:17 Hmm. Cindy. What? No, it's not Sunday. Speaker 4 00:43:21 I think its Sunday. Speaker 1 00:43:22 I think it's some new mysterious villain who needs to be revealed too. Sweet. Right? Alana? Speaker 4 00:43:26 The to human right. Speaker 2 00:43:27 Yeah, they'll humate. Speaker 6 00:43:29 Oh, I thought it was interesting. I like, I think it's fun. Find that with the, the, uh, scale because I mean, people don't really know. She has the scale issues and I was right. Hey, she's trying to freaking, uh, do experiment. Uh, Speaker 1 00:43:48 How about you, Doctor? What are you changing into? Rob, did you watch this episode? Speaker 5 00:43:56 No. I I really thought we were just covering and or so, but I'll catch. Speaker 1 00:44:00 Yeah. You didn't miss too much. It was fine. Speaker 2 00:44:03 Honestly, nothing happened in this one. Speaker 1 00:44:05 We found out more about Joel McCall's resurrection. Speaker 6 00:44:09 We see why, uh, she needs to experiment on herself and what she's doing in the labs and why she would needs Dragon Files. Speaker 4 00:44:16 Tim is nice now Speaker 6 00:44:18 As Cindy needs all of those. Speaker 1 00:44:21 Yeah, I still Juniors going crazy. Speaker 6 00:44:26 Yeah. Yeah. Speaker 4 00:44:30 You can make ice art. There's so much Cam there's so much Cameron and Courtney's stuff. It's like, ah, Speaker 7 00:44:36 <laugh>. Speaker 4 00:44:39 Yeah. Yeah. I, I don't know. Let's, I'm looking forward to their next offense of where they go into the sewers. Look for Giant King and, and and Joel Mac's like, Let me get my costume. Speaker 1 00:44:49 Ooh. Yeah. The costumes back. Do they to bad, The cu looks exactly the same. I assume it was gonna get updated. Speaker 6 00:44:56 I really wanted to be a halter top. Speaker 1 00:44:58 What? Speaker 4 00:45:00 Okay. Speaker 7 00:45:01 Why Speaker 4 00:45:01 If you wore the costume and then the leather jacket over it. So it looks more like, um, I Speaker 6 00:45:05 Wanted to be, Speaker 4 00:45:05 It looks more like Speaker 6 00:45:06 Same as Courtney's Speaker 4 00:45:08 Jack Knight. Do you guys Speaker 2 00:45:09 Start the game without me? Speaker 3 00:45:12 Oh shit. Speaker 1 00:45:12 Sorry. I thought you were back. Speaker 2 00:45:14 It, it's not working. Speaker 3 00:45:15 Just, it just automatically start the next one. I don't think any of us Speaker 6 00:45:18 Clicked anything. I'm leaving the game then It seems like Cindy is trying to procure samples from everybody in order to potentially boost herself or end or find a way to cure herself from changing Speaker 3 00:45:35 And, or, Speaker 6 00:45:38 And Cas gonna and like, Speaker 3 00:45:45 And Speaker 2 00:45:46 Hilarious. Speaker 3 00:45:48 Never get old. Speaker 4 00:45:52 Who's your people and a or. Okay. Yeah. Um, Speaker 1 00:45:57 Okay. Should Speaker 2 00:45:58 We a class like superhero thing of like, Oh no, I'm turning into a monster, but I can't tell my friends except they would obviously help her. Speaker 1 00:46:05 They'd never understand. Speaker 2 00:46:07 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:46:07 Yeah. All right. Question number one. What is your favorite or most memorable board game moments? Speaker 2 00:46:17 Have we had this question already? Speaker 4 00:46:19 Video game moment? Speaker 2 00:46:20 No. We had game moment. No, no, No. Speaker 4 00:46:22 Okay. But this is specifically for board games. Speaker 2 00:46:24 No, but we already did this. Cause I already told a hero click story of the Seal tournament. Speaker 3 00:46:29 I haven't done this. Speaker 2 00:46:36 Okay, go ahead cj. All Speaker 3 00:46:37 Right. Well it was a game of wavelength. Speaker 2 00:46:41 Oh, oh. <laugh> Speaker 1 00:46:43 This joke. Speaker 3 00:46:44 And everyone here except Rob and Jay were there. And the, the clue or the um, the wavelength was dangerous. So it was on a scale of dangerous to not dangerous. And I said, Speaker 2 00:46:58 Dangerous is safe. Speaker 3 00:46:59 Dangerous is safe. And I said, medium rare steak <laugh>. And they put it, Speaker 4 00:47:04 When I say I wasn't involved in this, Speaker 3 00:47:06 Put it like three quarters of the way to dangerous. I was like, not like walking on rusty nails. Like it wasn't even dangerous food. Anyway, Speaker 2 00:47:15 The question should have been being in the room with me and Matt Speaker 1 00:47:18 <laugh>. That's, that's your most, um, memorable board game experience. Cj Speaker 3 00:47:23 It's probably because it was recent, but yes. Speaker 1 00:47:25 I was afraid you were say the Kyle Kaar one. Speaker 3 00:47:28 What? That's not a board game. Speaker 1 00:47:30 It's wavelength. Speaker 3 00:47:32 Oh, okay. Speaker 1 00:47:34 Yeah. For those of you weren't there. The scale was light sided, Dark side. And Zj said, Kyle Kaar. And I said, But in the original game, he could be either. And Zj was like, No, that's wrong. Speaker 3 00:47:44 Well that wasn't the original game. That was you Jack. Do you know where they called it? Dark Forces too? Speaker 1 00:47:50 Whatever. <laugh>. The one where he becomes a Jedi. Speaker 2 00:47:53 Yeah. Medium rare steak. The inside eating, it's like a little dangerous. It's raw. Speaker 7 00:48:01 It's always be like Speaker 4 00:48:04 Quarter Speaker 3 00:48:06 It. How often do you eat medium steaks? It's not like Speaker 7 00:48:09 All the time. <laugh>. Yeah. Speaker 4 00:48:12 Here to tell about it. Just love to tell the tail. Speaker 1 00:48:15 Okay. I will say the time we played risk on two boards. Speaker 2 00:48:20 Oh yeah, that was great. Speaker 7 00:48:21 <laugh> Speaker 1 00:48:22 Earth two. Speaker 4 00:48:23 Oh yeah. I kind of remember that. Oh yeah, I remember that. Oh, on, on that same thing. I, I'll say the time we did Hero Clicks, like they like the like 50 Player Hero clicks game. Speaker 1 00:48:34 Ooh. Yeah. Speaker 2 00:48:34 When did you do that? We Speaker 4 00:48:35 Did that at a con, I think. Miserable Philly Like a long time ago. Speaker 2 00:48:39 Was that your bachelor party? Speaker 4 00:48:40 No, no, no. Long time ago. We were like teenagers. Speaker 2 00:48:44 Oh, I remember we played against Starro that one time. Speaker 1 00:48:48 Oh yeah. I won the Starro. Yeah. You guys weren't there for that. There's Speaker 4 00:48:52 A lot of hero clicks. Hero clicks. Ones that are memorable. A lot of polls. Like what I pulled Kingdom Come Green Lantern or the time we pulled Night Crawlers Act. Do you remember when we pulled Night Crawler Speaker 1 00:49:01 Course? So course so memorable. Speaker 2 00:49:03 Wait, here's here's one I haven't, This is a negative one. Retire about. Anyway, so so in middle school we played Yuko. I played uo. You guys were all Speaker 4 00:49:13 Yeah. Hell yeah. Hell yeah. U Speaker 2 00:49:15 Um, You guys never wanted to play with me? I always watch Wood gave me a copy of Exia at school. That was fake. But this didn't matter cause like you could still play with it at home. So I like convinced Z to play with me. And there was like a part where I like did something that made Exia like slightly weaker. So Zach killed it and I like rage. Quit Speaker 7 00:49:43 <laugh>. Speaker 3 00:49:48 The games always end when they inia. Speaker 2 00:49:51 I know. Speaker 1 00:49:55 Well, sorry about that, Alana. But you gotta learn Speaker 4 00:49:58 That. Do you remember that? Speaker 1 00:49:59 No. Speaker 7 00:50:00 <laugh>. Speaker 2 00:50:02 It's probably just another day for you beating me in Yugi. Speaker 7 00:50:06 <laugh> Speaker 4 00:50:06 Added to the tally. I Speaker 1 00:50:08 Mean, certainly remember playing Yugi, but nothing too specific. I remember magical hats. Speaker 4 00:50:13 Zach, do you remember that time we went to Mike Shapiro's house and played, I mean, Mike's house and played a Stormers card tournament. Speaker 1 00:50:19 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:50:20 And you and I like didn't really know how to fly. Yeah. And by a little, I mean we did not know at all how to fly. Speaker 1 00:50:26 Yeah. It was still a pretty good time though. Okay. Maybe someone else should go <laugh> Speaker 4 00:50:32 With those nice boys. Emily. Speaker 6 00:50:34 There it goes. All Speaker 1 00:50:35 Right. There we Speaker 5 00:50:35 Go. Um, I, I really don't have like exact moment, but I feel like I, I randomly found like a board game of the movie Alien, like the 79 or whatever. Ooh. Movie alien. And in my aunt's like attic. And I was just like, oh my God. And then like I played it with some people and it was, it was amazing. It still is. I think they remade it recently actually. Like the same exact version. Really? Yeah. Speaker 1 00:50:57 Cool. Pretty cool. Speaker 5 00:50:58 Do you still, you control the uh, I might somewhere. Yeah, you could take control the Marines and you can control your own casino morph so you can like attack other people and pretty cool. Speaker 1 00:51:09 Neat. Speaker 2 00:51:10 My eyebrow's pretty sweet. Speaker 4 00:51:12 I would say playing the Star Trek interactive VCR board game is pretty memorable too. Speaker 6 00:51:16 That's what I was gonna say. Speaker 1 00:51:18 <laugh> Speaker 2 00:51:18 Or like Jay, when we played the Star Wars, Speaker 6 00:51:20 That was one I was going, That was a fucking good. That was a good Speaker 1 00:51:28 Thing. It was a good time. Uh, Jay also a up Speaker 6 00:51:35 Which time blank smash up? Speaker 1 00:51:38 Just, you know, in general. Speaker 6 00:51:40 See that? That's not a, that's Speaker 1 00:51:42 Not good. Okay, fine. Speaker 4 00:51:46 I was gonna say there's, Yeah. Don't you play that game all the time? Speaker 1 00:51:49 No, not, not so much lately. So anyway, what's the next question, buddy? Speaker 4 00:51:56 Oh shoot. I'm driving that. I wore hog right now. Speaker 6 00:52:00 My other memory would be Gloom Haven when I had to save everybody, which time when everyone else died. And it was just me running around collecting their stupid things. Speaker 1 00:52:11 Okay. Yeah. Uh, yeah, we've had some good Gloo Haven ones. There's one where it all came down to me and I saved the day. Speaker 6 00:52:22 Yeah. It's always when it comes down to one of us, Speaker 4 00:52:25 Right? Oh, no. All right. You guys ready for question number two? Speaker 1 00:52:29 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:52:31 One is the scariest movie you've ever seen. Speaker 1 00:52:34 We've done, we've definitely done this one. <laugh>. Speaker 6 00:52:36 Yeah, we all of these, we've done Speaker 4 00:52:39 All of How much are you guys All right. Speaker 1 00:52:41 In an objective sensor at Speaker 6 00:52:43 The time you watched it. Speaker 4 00:52:45 I, we know you War of the World story Speaker 1 00:52:48 I was gonna say, which, how about whichever one you found the most scary at the time. Speaker 4 00:52:53 Yeah. If we, and if weve already done it, then Alan, you must have an answer Ready to go. Speaker 2 00:52:57 It follows. Speaker 4 00:52:59 Oh, okay. Crap. Maybe we haven't seen it. Speaker 6 00:53:02 Yeah, Speaker 1 00:53:02 I said threads. Okay. I have one We Speaker 2 00:53:07 Ija. Speaker 4 00:53:09 All right, I'll do, let's restart. You guys ready for the second? You guys ready for question number two? Speaker 1 00:53:15 Do instead ready Speaker 6 00:53:16 For question number, number one? <laugh>. Speaker 4 00:53:18 We did question number one. Favorite board game moment? It was a great question. Speaker 2 00:53:22 We actually got different answers than you did before, but we had to kind of flex the definition of favorite. Speaker 1 00:53:28 Yeah. Uh, okay, so we do, Could I do one for question number two? Go ahead. Okay. So, so question number two is you rescue a pet. Some of you, you may have already rescued a pet. Two years later the family comes and says, We want our pet back. Do you give the Speaker 2 00:53:46 Back? I say hell no. I micro chipped her. She's mine. Second. Speaker 3 00:53:50 I really think it depends on the context of how they originally Speaker 6 00:53:54 Lost Speaker 3 00:53:55 Them. Lost it. Speaker 5 00:53:56 Yeah. Speaker 3 00:53:58 It, I hate to say it, but it would depend probably no Speaker 2 00:54:04 Say, Yeah, they would, they would've to be very irresponsible to lead to Mr. K like two years. I Speaker 3 00:54:10 What if they get the cat, if it was like pooping everywhere. Speaker 1 00:54:12 What? Okay. What if they, what if their tiny little child accidentally left the door open and the cat ran away? Or, or dog. Well Speaker 6 00:54:19 That I'll teach em. Speaker 2 00:54:22 I'll be like, Sorry, you got the wrong cat. This one's a different cat. Yeah. You don't, you don't Speaker 1 00:54:28 Remember you, so you would lie and keep <laugh>. Is that what you're saying? Speaker 2 00:54:32 My cat? Speaker 1 00:54:34 I mean, I'm not saying you're wrong, I just haven't been in that situation. Obviously I haven't been in that situation, but Well, the Speaker 3 00:54:39 Flip side would be then if you lost your cat and then two years later found where it was, would you expect the person to give it back? Mm. Speaker 1 00:54:47 I guess I wouldn't expect it, but it would be nice. Speaker 2 00:54:50 Right? Speaker 3 00:54:51 Yeah. Speaker 2 00:54:54 That's why you can never lose your cat. Well that's also why you microchip your pets. Yeah. Cause if you microchip them, they're not gonna remove the microchip. So you can always be like, No, it's fine. Speaker 3 00:55:02 Yeah. If I had microchip my pet and they never bothered to check, Speaker 2 00:55:05 Yeah, that'd be pissed. Speaker 3 00:55:07 But I'm, I'm not sure that like legally you could actually get them back. Speaker 2 00:55:11 No, I think you could though, right? Speaker 3 00:55:13 I don't know. This isn't like some Judge Judy shit, Speaker 6 00:55:21 But I to Judge Judy and she tells him you, tells you. You Speaker 4 00:55:24 Going on Speaker 1 00:55:28 Rob? Any thoughts? Speaker 5 00:55:29 Yeah, I mean like if there's like some kid that was like eight years old and like love that cat for years and like grew up with them. Yeah, no, I would, I would have to I think give it up cause Speaker 1 00:55:40 All right. Speaker 5 00:55:41 Yeah. I could, I could like emotionally get over it more than like that eight year old could maybe, I dunno. I feel like I would talk him up for life. Speaker 1 00:55:47 <laugh>. Yeah. You still hear from people who are like, have traumatic pet related experiences. That could be a question of the day. <laugh>. Okay. Magic traumatic. Speaker 5 00:55:59 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:55:59 Traumatic power related experience. Speaker 2 00:56:01 Talk about it here on recording. Speaker 4 00:56:03 I have Speaker 2 00:56:04 One while playing Halo. Speaker 4 00:56:06 I Speaker 2 00:56:06 Have, we, we know yours. Speaker 4 00:56:08 You do what? Speaker 2 00:56:09 Coyote? Speaker 4 00:56:10 No, no, no. That? No, that was not traumatic for me. Speaker 2 00:56:13 Oh, Speaker 1 00:56:14 Oh, yeah. I mean, a little bit. Speaker 2 00:56:17 I guess that's, It wasn't, Speaker 4 00:56:18 It wasn't traumatic at all. I was like, it's a cat. That is not my cat. Speaker 2 00:56:24 Okay, fine. What's yours? Speaker 4 00:56:25 So there was one time where I, we, we had like a UPS truck deliver something to our house. Gonna Speaker 1 00:56:31 Say this <laugh>. Speaker 4 00:56:33 You remember this dude? Speaker 1 00:56:34 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:56:35 And I accidentally let Casey out out of the house and he charged it, charged the truck. And I was really worried that he was good to go under a tire Speaker 2 00:56:44 Extent Speaker 4 00:56:45 That he was Speaker 2 00:56:46 Oh, I never heard about this. Speaker 1 00:56:48 Yeah. I was there. I remember streaked by me like a little white comment. Speaker 3 00:56:53 Did he take down the, Speaker 1 00:56:59 So it all worked out. Speaker 2 00:57:01 Casey was so dumb. A little idiot. Speaker 3 00:57:04 I remember your dad once, like Casey out into our house and he called her cats and her cats were hissing at him. Speaker 2 00:57:10 Yeah. Speaker 3 00:57:11 He Speaker 4 00:57:11 Only to them once though at least. Speaker 3 00:57:14 Yeah. Speaker 4 00:57:16 How did we ever get along? Cj, you're a cat person. Weren't dog people. Speaker 3 00:57:20 I don't cat. But you weren't dog people when I met you. Speaker 4 00:57:22 Yeah, that's true. That's Speaker 3 00:57:23 True. At least I didn't know it Speaker 1 00:57:26 Secretly. Dog people. Yeah. Speaker 4 00:57:28 I think we were always secretly dog people, but yeah, Speaker 1 00:57:30 Not sure. Mom and dad had cat dogs growing Speaker 2 00:57:33 Up. All of our relatives. Definitely Speaker 3 00:57:34 Weren cat people. Speaker 2 00:57:35 Yeah. Speaker 1 00:57:36 Yeah. Well act well, didn't dad have a cat? Speaker 2 00:57:39 Dad? Dad grew up with cats. Speaker 1 00:57:41 I think it was like one cat. But yeah, Speaker 2 00:57:42 So grandma always complained like she bought like designer cats who died in like two years. Speaker 4 00:57:49 Zer cats, eh, Speaker 2 00:57:50 Designer cats. Yeah. Like pure breads. Speaker 1 00:57:53 But anyway, enough about our family. <laugh>. Any any other comments? No. Speaker 4 00:57:58 Any any traumatic pet memories? Oh Speaker 2 00:58:00 My god. That that you don't? Yeah. Speaker 4 00:58:03 Zj ZJs. Like do medical, medical drama Speaker 2 00:58:06 Only not too traumatizing that you need to talk about. Speaker 3 00:58:08 It was, um, def definitely would be my cat dying bigger unexpectedly. Which Speaker 4 00:58:15 Won't Which Speaker 2 00:58:16 Was this, was that Speaker 3 00:58:17 Jasper? Jasper? Yeah. Yeah. That was Speaker 4 00:58:19 Pretty Oh yeah. Yeah. Speaker 3 00:58:20 Cause uh, cause it was him and his brother who were a bonded pair. And so afterwards we, like, his brother was like visibly depressed. Like his ears literally like flopped down. I don't know how it happens, but Yeah. Yeah. So we were like, sucks shit. He lost like his best friend and we're sad because the cat died and the whole thing just sucked. Speaker 4 00:58:40 Mm-hmm. <affirmative>. Speaker 3 00:58:42 Yeah. And also I was employed, so all I had to do was sit at home and watch my cat die. Speaker 2 00:58:47 Aw. Oh geez. Speaker 3 00:58:48 It was like, Yeah, that was definitely it. Speaker 1 00:58:52 Sorry I brought it up. Speaker 3 00:58:53 No, no, no. I mean, it's, Speaker 4 00:58:55 It's healthy to talk about it. Speaker 2 00:58:57 Matt brought it up. Speaker 4 00:58:58 No, it was next idea. Speaker 3 00:59:00 It was question. If you asked me this eight years ago, I would've been pissed. But terms of, Speaker 4 00:59:07 Its like I have four new cats to fill the void. Speaker 3 00:59:10 Yeah. Well, three new cats. One of thems still around. Speaker 2 00:59:13 Well, it's still Louie. Speaker 1 00:59:14 Yeah. Louis Speaker 2 00:59:16 Lu. Lou. Lou Louie. Speaker 3 00:59:18 You're lucky, Matt. I didn't hit the grenade button instead of the get into the vehicle button this time. Speaker 4 00:59:22 I, I am lucky Zj in so many ways. Speaker 3 00:59:24 Am I not merciful? Speaker 4 00:59:27 Oh, I almost s Speaker 1 00:59:28 Flatter out. That's get get them. Oh God, Speaker 3 00:59:30 They killed me. Speaker 4 00:59:31 <laugh>. Speaker 3 00:59:33 It's my fault I didn't shoot him fast. Speaker 1 00:59:35 Ah, I tried. Can you do a jump on and put a grenade into this, in this game? I don't think so. Is that only Halo four? Okay. Matt, are we doing the last question or was that pet question the third one? Speaker 4 00:59:47 Well, if everybody answers, we could do the third one. Yeah, that'd be the third one. Speaker 3 00:59:53 Does Jay have a traumatic Speaker 2 00:59:56 So you don't have to talk about, you must Speaker 4 00:59:58 Just say yes and I don't wanna talk about it and then we'll leave, Leave you alone. Speaker 1 01:00:02 Or Rob. Um, not a trauma. Speaker 2 01:00:07 Think, Oh wait, I have one about Casey. Sorry. Also Speaker 1 01:00:12 <laugh>. Speaker 2 01:00:14 What? Speaker 1 01:00:14 Can you wait for Jay to finish his thought? Speaker 2 01:00:16 I didn't, I thought Rob was talking. Speaker 5 01:00:19 I was trying to interrupt Jay. No, no. Yeah, Speaker 1 01:00:22 I'm done. Speaker 5 01:00:25 I mean, I don't, I don't even, honestly, I don't have any cuz I like, I feel like my family didn't have that many pets. Like I had a, there was a dog, but it died when I was like three months old. So they were sad, but I, I clearly replaced the dog. So here, Speaker 4 01:00:43 Go ahead. Okay. I have another one after you're done though. Speaker 1 01:00:47 But you guys have lot. Speaker 2 01:00:49 I was walking, I was hanging out the trash and or walking Casey or he got out. I don't think he got out, but I think I was walking. Am I taking out the trash? And like, we had eaten like a chicken or like a Turkey that had like netting on it, which we like never did. I don't know if you remember what those looked like, but the netting like fell out of the trash onto the driveway and Casey like ran over before I could grab it and like ate it, like inhaled it and then started choking. And I was like, Oh my God, he's gonna suffocate in front of me. But then he threw it up. <laugh>. Speaker 1 01:01:21 Okay. Speaker 4 01:01:24 I said it first and I think you're gonna tell the same story. We Speaker 1 01:01:26 Are different call, Speaker 4 01:01:27 We're driving in the van. Speaker 1 01:01:29 <laugh>. Uhhuh. Speaker 4 01:01:30 You, Casey, We were, all three of us were in the back seat for some reason. Casey was on the bucket seat ahead of us. He wasn't feeling well and he just close to diarrhea everywhere. Speaker 1 01:01:39 I wasn't, Speaker 2 01:01:40 It was not everywhere. It was like one, Speaker 4 01:01:43 No, it was a lot. It was like liquid and I was to rush out. Okay. Speaker 2 01:01:48 It smelled so bad. I thought I was gonna Speaker 1 01:01:50 Pee. It Speaker 4 01:01:50 Smelled so bad and it smelled terrible. We were all like, ah, Speaker 1 01:01:54 Okay. I have one. Which is one time he escaped and there was a squirrel and he like attacked the squirrel. Do you guys remember this? Speaker 4 01:02:00 Yeah, I, I definitely Speaker 2 01:02:01 Remember that. Isn't that when he tour his acl? Speaker 4 01:02:03 No, that was different Speaker 3 01:02:05 Season entering injury. Speaker 1 01:02:08 The sword. No, Speaker 2 01:02:09 He did tear his ACL chasing after a squirrel. Speaker 3 01:02:11 Is this like low gravity or something? I'm bouncing around weirdly. Speaker 2 01:02:15 Yeah, Speaker 1 01:02:15 Could be. Speaker 4 01:02:16 It's a different planet. Speaker 1 01:02:17 Anyway, Alana, I, no, the the time I got it, he caught up to the squirrel and was like attacking it. Oh Speaker 0 01:02:23 Wow. Speaker 1 01:02:23 Was like frozen. And when we pulled it off, the squirrel just like wasn't, I think it was like playing dead or something. Whoa. Speaker 2 01:02:29 Case's a killer. Speaker 4 01:02:31 Oh yeah. Big time. I think I'm done after this game, by the way. Especially if we're almost done. Speaker 1 01:02:37 Okay. All, I guess that's our, those are all the traumatic.
